The Air Jordan 1 High PS “Court Purple” is the preschool version of Michael Jordan’s first signature shoe inspired by one of the model’s original colorways. Released by Jordan Brand in June 2021, the “Court Purple” Air Jordan 1 is a salute to the original “Metallic Purple” edition from 1985 that, rather surprisingly, has never been re-released. This modern interpretation of the look is very close to the design’s color block, but there are a few differences. The white tumbled leather upper features contrasting Court Purple leather Swoosh detailing on both sides. A purple “Wings” logo can be found on the white leather overlay beneath the glossy Court Purple leather collar. The major call out between the “Court Purple” and “Metallic Purple” is the difference in material used on the inner lining and tongue. On the “Court Purple,” Jordan Brand uses a satin material instead of the standard cloth found on most Jordan 1s. Moreover, the tongue is constructed in leather rather than the nylon style of the original. Release date: June 3, 2021
