The Air Jordan 4 “Sashiko” features the traditional Japanese theme on Michael Jordan’s fourth signature shoe. A December 2020 release, the “Sashiko” colorway marks the first instance of Jordan Brand using the theme following its appearance on the Nike SB Dunk Low and Nike Kyrie S2 Hybrid. The “Sashiko” displays the popular shishiko method of embroidery and stitching that is used to make old or used items “new again.” Giving off a pre-worn vibe, the toe of the right shoe features a blue and red denim patchwork design. The rest of the overlay panels display the rugged jean material in a similar bespoke manner. Red shoelaces sit on top the mesh tongue of the right shoe and blue laces can be found on the left shoe. Moreover, Jordan Brand utilizes a split red and blue denim motif on the left tongue, and a light blue-on-dark-blue look for the left tongue. Standard Jumpman branding appears on the semi-translucent blue heel tab to finish off the look. Release date: December 5, 2020.
