The Air Jordan 9 “Pinnacle Pack - Baseball Glove” is a baseball inspired colorway of Michael Jordan’s ninth signature shoe that honors his minor league baseball career. Despite not wearing the Jordan 9 with the Chicago Bulls due to his retirement from basketball and shift into professional baseball in 1994, Michael did wear a cleated version of the shoe with the Birmingham Barons. No spikes are on the bottom of this colorway, but it does feature a traditional baseball glove construction on the tumbled leather and woven side panels that mimic a glove’s webbing. Further, black rope laces are consistent with the sturdy laces found on baseball mitts. Michael’s “45” jersey number with the Barons is stitched onto the back of the shoe beneath the Jumpman “globe” insignia. An additional Jumpman marks the heel of the midsole.
