The Air Jordan 9 GS “University Gold” is the youth sizing of Michael Jordan’s ninth signature shoe in a colorway that is based loosely on a popular look from 2010. The “University Gold” makes use of a similar shade of yellow as that of the “Citrus” Jordan 9 from July 2010. Both colorways feature a predominantly neutral design and employ subtle pops of orange or, in this case, yellow. The rest of the “University Gold” displays a synthetic black nubuck construction with a “diamond” perforation motif appearing along the medial and lateral sides of the shoe. A grey synthetic nubuck mudguard above the black midsole breaks up the look. University Gold accents can be found on the liner, pull tab, and “Air Jordan” detailing on the tongue. Jordan Brand uses the same hue of yellow on the embroidered “23” logo on the heel and Jumpman insignia on the sole. A mini “globe” emblem appears on the back of the shoe.
